So who’s behind Flip Flop Records? and why’s it called Flip Flop Records? and who puts the word ‘flop’ in any name, except for companies that make flip flops?

Well, the founder of the label, Nick Brine likes to wear flip flops because he lives in Spain.
His first ever proper job was trainee sound engineer/tea boy at Rockfield Studios learning the ropes with Sepultura followed by The Stone Roses, Oasis, Coldplay, Beta Band, Teenage Fan Club, Thunder, The Darkness, Beta Band, Ash, Bruce Springsteen, Super Furry Animals and, before he knew it, he had enough stories to fill a book (which he’s almost finished) and then he thought, ‘I may as well set up a label while I’m at it…hmmm, but what would be it’s name?’ he looked down…and Flip Flop Records was born.
